The control board module 6SN1118-0NH01-0AA1 is a SIMODRIVE 611 manufactured by Siemens. This control board module is considered a universal unit. What makes this module a universal product? It is deemed universal for its ability to work within a SIMODRIVE 611 converter system. These products are manufactured in Germany and are designed for Automotive, aerospace, power generation, and electronics usage. They come with a 2-year warranty from MRO Electric. Features of the 6SN1118-0NH01-0AA1 

What can you expect with this board? Two separate drive controls are used on the 2-axis board. The drive control is closed-loop. It can be operated with two different operating modes. The operating modes must have frequencies up to 1400 Hz. 

The first mode is the operating mode. This is also known as the setpoint for speed and torque.  In the operating mode, the board is utilized for closed-loop speed control, open-loop torque control and can control torque by reducing it. The second mode is positioning mode which has 64 traversing blocks at the most that can be chosen and carried out. 

The parameters for every traversing lock can be set individually. There is also additional data that is considered as well. This data includes items such as target position, acceleration, velocity, command, and block enable circuit. Interfaces are another area of attention for this module. 

What are the interfaces that are provided on the board? There are two analog interfaces for each drive (± 10 V) that deliver the setpoints for things such as current, torque reduction, and an override in velocity when setting position.  All of this can be introduced by way of these interfaces.   

The other interface is the angular incremental encoder interface (WSG-SS).   Incremental position reference values can be put in as parameterize input.  As far as output, the values of the position can be used for a higher amount of control by way of the interface that has your set parameters.  The number of digital inputs is four per drive.   The number of digital outputs is also 4 per drive. There are two analog outputs per drive. 

The Simodrive 611 control board uses either the optional terminal module or the optional PROFIBUS-DP module to expand the available options on the unit. The terminal module gives you eight additional inputs and eight digital outputs.  The extra eight inputs and outputs are needed to select and start a traversing block in the positioning mode.   

Optional Modules

The optional PROFIBUS-DP harmonizes the system into concepts that can then be distributed. Several motors can be used with the SIMODRIVE 611 universal.  The following are motors that the Siemens 6SN1118-0NH01-0AA1 operates. These motors are the 1FK6, 1FT6 servomotors up to 140 Nm, the 1FE1 permanent-magnet synchronous motors, 1PH induction motors up to 100 kW (1PH6, 1PH4, 1PH2, 1PH7), Induction motors without encoder, Standard 1LA induction motors up to 100 kW, 1FN linear motors, 1FW6 built-in torque motors.
