The front panel of this CPU is made up of a display block with 7 LEDs. What are these LEDs? The seven LEDs include Ready LED which displays a green light when the power-up diagnosis tests are successful. Run LED which turns green when the program is executing. Modbus LED turns green when there is activity on the Modbus port.  Modbus Plus LED shows green when there is activity on the Modbus Plus port. Mem Prt LED turns orange when the memory protection switch is activated. Bat Low LED will right red when the back-up battery needs to be replaced or is missing. The last LED is the Error A LED which turns red when there is a communication fault on the Modbus Plus port. The backup battery slot is also on the front panel as well as a slide switch for selecting the Modbus port communications parameters and write-protect the memory. It features two 9-way female SUB-D connectors for connecting to the Modbus bus and a 9-way SUB-D female connector for connecting to the Modbus Plus network. A customizable identification label is available in the removable hinged door. The Schneider Electric 140CPU31110 weighs 1.698lbs.
