The XBTGT5330 is a Magelis XBTGT Advanced Touchscreen Panel with a back-lit color LCD display and Thin Film Transistors screen technology. It has a 10.4 inch display that is 640 by 480 pixels VGA. It has a Magelis operating system and uses Vijeo Designer software. The XBTGT5330 also has a CPU RISC processor with a frequency of 266 MHz.

The XBTGT5330 has a back-light lifespan of 54,000 hours. If your panel has seen more use, it may be time to replace it. If you are seeing orange on the local LED, then the panel’s back-lighting is faulty.

Mean Time Between Failures = 7644 hours

The XBTGT5330 has 512 kB of backup SRAM data and an application memory of 32 MB. The panel has a number of integrated connection types, shown below:
– Power supply with removable screw terminal block
– Digital input with a removable screw terminal block
– COM2 serial link RJ45 RS485
– Siemens MPI (187.5 kbits/s)
– COM1 serial link Male SUB-D 9 RS232C/RS422/RS485

The entire panel is touch sensitive. Additionally, there are 8 levels of brightness and contrast on the touch panel. It uses a 24V DC power supply, which should be kept in between 19.2 and 28.8 volts. The inrush current should be kept to less than 30 amps, and the panel’s power consumption is less than 50 watts. The allowable voltage drop is  <10ms.

The XBTGT5330’s dimensions are approximately 270.5 x 212.5 x 212.5 mm. The product itself weighs 2.5 kg. The minimum number of fasteners to install the panel is 4, with a maximum of 10. It is strongly recommended that an installation gasket is used, since it absorbs vibration and also repels water.

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding the XBTGT5330

Why is the status LED on my XBT-G Magelis unit orange?
The status LED on the XBT-G Magelis units will illuminate orange to indicate the backlight has burned out. The unit will need to have its backlight replaced.

What is the replacement for the Magelis XBTGT5330 HMI?
The Magelis XBTGT5330 HMI can be replaced by either the HMIGTO5310 or (HMIDT542 + HMIG3U). Here are details for the substitution replacements:

What is the cable needed to connect the M340 to the XBTGT5330 terminals?
The cable combination that is needed is the XBTZ938 + XBTZG909.
It will connect the M340 and the HMI.

What Magelis HMIs did the XBTGT5330 replace?

Can I enable Vijeo Designer Web Gate from the Magelis XBTGT5330 screen?
No, you can not enable Web Gate from the Magelis screens. Web Gate has to be enabled and setup from the Vijeo Designer development software.

What is the part number of the cable used for connecting a Magelis XBTGT5330 terminal to a TSX Micro PLC?
The Magelis XBTGT terminal has two ports – COM Port 1 which is of type DB9 and COM PORT 2 which is of type RJ45

1. If using COM PORT 1 (DB9) on Magelis to connect to the TSX Micro use XBTZ968 + XBTZG909 cable

2. If using COM PORT 2 ( RJ45) on the Magelis to connect to the TSX Micro use XBTZ9780.

Can the Magelis XBTGT5330 access the timer preset value (Time data type) in the Modicon PLC directly?
No, you can not access the Time Data type directly from the Magelis. In Unity Pro, you need to use a conversion block to convert between the
Time and Integer or DINT data type. The blocks you will use are:

Keep in mind that the value of the integer or DINT is in milliseconds where the Time value could be in any format.

Why don’t my new passwords work in my XBTGT5330?
After a change is made to any security data (passwords or user names and groups) all runtime data must be deleted before the security change will take effect. During the download of the updated application, a window pops up and the “Delete all runtime data” check box must be selected.

FANUC A06B-6093-H152: Beyond the User Manual

The FANUC A06B-6093-H152 is a Beta series servo amplifier. It is important when using this amplifier that the ground fault interrupter is mounted. Fit the factory power supply or machine with a ground fault interrupter that is designed for use with an inverter. This will guard again fire and electrical shock. Ensure that the motor and amplifier is an appropriate combination, and that valid parameters are specified. Specifying an invalid parameter can not only prevent normal operation, but can also damage the amplifier.

Before connecting the FANUC power supply wiring on your A06B-6093-H152 amplifier, check that the voltage supply is within the appropriate range. It is also important that appropriate countermeasures are taken against noise. Signal lines should be routed away from the power supply lines and the power lines.

If you encounter a failure on your A06B-6093-H152, first check the LED display for the alarm code to determine the cause and apply the appropriate countermeasure.

Siemens 6SL3120-2TE21-8AA3: Beyond the User Manual

The Siemens 6SL3120-2TE21-8AA3 is a Sinamics S120 Double Motor Module with a 600V DC output and an 18A/18A frame size. For Sinamics S120 double motor modules, a DMC20, a TM54F, and a CUA32 each correspond to two DRive-CLiQ particiapants. This also applies to double motor modules when just one drive is configured. Mixed operation is not permissible on the 6SL3120-2TE21-8AA3.  When connecting the motor encoder via DRIVE-CLiQ, use motor connection X1: encoder at X202 and motor connection X2: encoder at X203.

The 6SL3120-2TE21-8AA3 must not be operated as a single drive if you are using FW2.1 or FW2.2 firmware releases. A combination of operating modes is not possible on a double motor module.

There are a number of local signaling LEDs on the 6SL3120-2TE21-8AA3. The Off LED means that the electronic power supply is missing or outside permissible tolerance range. If your green LED is off, then the component is ready for operation and cyclic DRIVE-CLiQ communication is taking place. If this LED is orange, then the DC link voltage is present. If it is red, then the DC link voltage is too high. If the orange LED on the module is active, then DRIVE-CLiQ communication is being established. The Red LED signals that the component has at least one fault. This LED is activated regardless of whether the corresponding messages have been configured. To clear this code, remedy and acknowledge the fault.

If you see a green or red flashing LED at 0.5 Hz then firmware is being downloaded. When this light goes to 2 Hz, then the firmware download is complete and the user should carry out a POWER ON and wait. If you see a green/orange or red/orange local signal on the  6SL3120-2TE21-8AA3, then component detection via LED is activate. Both of these options depend on the LED state when activated via P0124 = 1.
