Reloading Siemens Sinumerik<\/a> Start-up Archive Files\u00a0for the NC and PLC<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Using OP, (Operator Panel) select hardkey Machine\u00a0 then Menu select
\nObserve:\u00a0 The main operating areas horizontal softkey menu appears.\u00a0\u00a0 Machine, Parameter, Program, Services, Diagnosis and Start-up.
\n2. Using OP, select softkey Services
\nObserve:\u00a0 Current operating area is displayed at top left of display.
\n3. Using OP, select the hardkey\u00a0 (etc…\/extension of the softkey menu key).
\nObserve:\u00a0 Horizontal softkey menu contains a key labeled Series start-up
\nNOTE: If softkey Series start-up does not appear then the password access rights need to be\u00a0 set. See the procedure Setting Password Access rights Page 3.
\n4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Using OP, select horizontal softkey Series start-up.
\nObserve:\u00a0 Display shows \u2018Create series startup archive\u2019 window.
\nNOTE: If Display shows Read startup archive window, skip step 5
\n5. Using OP, select vertical softkey Read start-up archive
\nObserve:\u00a0 A new window will appear, labeled Read Series Start-up Archive.
\n6. Using OP cursor keys highlight the appropriate NC or PLC archive file.
\nNote:\u00a0 The backup files are created by the builder and \/ or end user and the specific name may vary.\u00a0\u00a0 Suggestion: Select a file which refers to the NC or PLC and has the most recent date
\n7. Using OP, press the vertical softkey Start.
\nObserve:\u00a0 The window will shift to the Job Log display.\u00a0 a. Answer the query \u2018Do you wish to perform a series start-up?\u2019\u00a0 By pressing the\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 vertical softkey Yes.\u00a0 b. A series of prompts will appear, telling you the status of the upload of the various\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 series start-up files from the NC archive.\u00a0 c. The message \u2018NC Reset – Please wait\u2019 will now appear as many as 6 times. This is\u00a0\u00a0 normal.\u00a0 d. The control will shift back to the Read Series Start-up Archive display.
\n8. If necessary, repeat steps 6 and 7, selecting the appropriate archive file, to load both the NC and the PLC.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

SINUMERIK<\/a> 840D\/810D Setting Password Access Rights<\/strong>
\n1. Using OP, (Operator Panel) select hardkey Machine\u00a0 then Menu select
\nObserve:\u00a0 The main operating areas horizontal softkey menu appears.\u00a0 Machine, Parameter, Program, Services, Diagnosis and Start-up.
\n2. Using the OP, select the horizontal softkey Start-up.
\nObserve:\u00a0 Message: Area Start-up being loaded! Please wait …
\n3. Using the OP, select the vertical softkey Password \u2026
\n4. Using the OP, select the vertical softkey Set password.
\nObserve: Define password window appears with text \u201cPlease enter password:\u201d
\n5. Using the OP, type in SUNRISE (in upper case). Then press the vertical softkey OK.
\nNote: On some panels you may need to hold the hardkey (Shift)\u00a0 to type characters
\nObserve:\u00a0 Message \u201cCurrent access level: Manufact. and Password has been set for\u00a0 Manufact. !\u201d
\n6. Using the OP, select the Menu select\u00a0 twice to return to the previous operating area\u00a0 I.e. Services.
\n7. When finished creating or reading in Series Start-up the password access rights should be deactivated. See procedure Deactivating Password Access Rights. Page 4.

\nRebooting the system will not deactivate an active password access level.
\n12. Using the OP, select the Menu select\u00a0 twice to return to the previous operating area\u00a0 I.e. Services.<\/p>\n
