For more info you can check out\u00a0 all of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mroelectric.com\/fanuc\/1\">Fanuc products<\/a>\u00a0or email us at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:sales@mroelectric.com\">sales@mroelectric.com<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>When working with servo motors:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"266.0166666666666\">\u2022NEVER pick up or carry the motor by the cables or the shaft. (Always carry by the frame.) Use a crane or lift to move the motor when necessary.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"659.4166666666663\">\u2022NEVER drop or subject the motor to impact. The servo motor is a precision device.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"795.2833333333327\">\u2022NEVER set heavy or sharp objects on the motor or cables. Do not step or sit on the motor or cables.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"68.38333333333334\">\u2022NEVER use a metal hammer on any part of the motor. If it is absolutely necessary to use a hammer, use a plastic hammer.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"940.6166666666651\"><\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"940.6166666666651\">Keep the motor properly secured and away from the edge of the work area when servicing the motor, as a dropped motor could<\/div>\n<p>cause personal injury or destroy the motor<\/p>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"489.2600000000001\"><strong>Basic Motor Safety, Procedures, and Best Practices<\/strong><\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"331.98333333333346\">\u2022 Be safely dressed when handling a motor.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"558.1666666666663\">Wear safety shoes and gloves. Avoid loose clothing which can get caught<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"918.0999999999982\">on the motor. Be careful not to let hair get caught in the rotary section of the motor. Do not handle the motor with wet hands.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"857.0333333333322\">\u2022 Shut off the power before working on a motor. Wait at least 5 minutes after the motor is shut off before touching any<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"131.31666666666663\">power terminals.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"889.7499999999992\">\u2022 Always use the correct cables. Centroid cables are shown in the motor compatibility table. Wiring diagrams and pin outs<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"292.26666666666677\">for motors are provided in Appendix B.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"890.3333333333318\">\u2022 Ensure that the motor and motor related components are mounted securely. Ensure that the base or frame to which the<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"279.3\">motor is mounted to is strong enough.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"606.6833333333333\">\u2022 Do not touch the rotary section of the motor when it is running unless instructed to.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"79.55000000000001\">\u2022 When attaching a component having inertia to the motor, ensure any imbalance between the motor and component is minimized.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"391.95000000000033\">\u2022 Be sure to attach a key to a motor with a keyed shaft.<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"880.549999999999\">\u2022 Use the motor in appropriate environmental conditions. Do not store flammables in close proximity to the motor.
