The 6FC5410-0AY01-0AA0 SINUMERICK 810D module is manufactured by Siemens. It is a compact control unit operated by I/O or I/R SIMODRIVE 611 power supply modules.
What is the task of the Siemens 6FC5410-0AY01-0AA0? The SINUMERIK 810D 6FC5410-0AY01-0AA0 CCU module performs activities such as communication, PLC, closed-loop control, and CNC tasks. It features 6 measuring channels as each drive needs one measuring channel for the motor measuring system. A basic measuring channel may be leftover and if this occurs, the channel can be freely assigned to another measuring channel task. It could be used for spindle for example.
This unit can be expanded using expansion plug-ins. The Siemens CCU module is capable of controlling 6 axes, including spindles, onboard. This is configurable in one of two ways. The first way to expand the SINUMERIK 810 D is to connect an axis expansion plug-in unit as well as the SIMODRIVE 611 power module. These two modules are connected at the axis expansion interface. The second option is to connect the SIMODRIVE 611 D control plug-in module with the SIMODRIVE 611 power modules. These are connected on drive bus and device bus. When there are no more than six measuring channels needed for the SINUMERIK 810 D, you use the axis expansion plug-in units. The expansion unit is plugged into a SIMODRIVE 611 power module.
This series of 611 D modules can be used as external power modules necessary for axis expansion.
During installation, be sure to place the CCU box to the right of the SIMODRIVE power module unit using 4 (four) M5 screws. You can add a power module to the left of the box.Some installation considerations include cooling clearance, shields, torque, and other items. The clearance necessary for proper cooling is around 100 mm top and bottom. You must first mount the shield sheet before mounting the shields of the motor cables. You must allow for extra depth when installing the connector. The screws must meet the specified tightening torque. All of the DC link busbar screws must be tightened.
