The Siemens 6FX2007-1AD13 Mini Handheld Unit (Mini HHU) is a compact and ergonomic device designed for setting up and operating simple machines in the JobShop area or similar applications. The handwheel on the Mini HHU enables operators to initiate movements on the selected axis. It provides two track signals with 100 increments per revolution, allowing for precise control. Additionally, the unit includes a rapid traverse key that increases the traversing speed of the selected axis, affecting both the +/- keys and handwheel signals.

Safety

Safety is a crucial aspect of the Mini HHU, and it incorporates an Emergency Stop button and a 2-channel enabling button. The red Emergency Stop button is used in critical situations where there is a risk to individuals or potential damage to machines or workpieces. It can be turned clockwise to unlatch it. The enabling button, designed as a 3-way switch, must be held in the central position to activate traversing movements.

Connection

To connect the Mini HHU, a connection kit is required for connection to a machine control panel (MCP). The kit includes a metal flange socket for installation at the machine and a terminating connector for overriding the emergency stop circuit when the Mini HHU is not connected. Wiring connections for the emergency stop and enabling button are made at the terminal block.

When connecting the Mini HHU to an MCP, specific connector ports are used (X51, X52, X55, and X60). The coding of machine functions and connection to customer keys ensures proper integration and functionality.

Configuration

Configuration of the Mini HHU involves setting parameters in the basic PLC program, specifically FB1 parameters in OB100. Detailed instructions for configuration can be found in the Function Manual Basic Functions.
