There are two applications for this infeed module.

It is also used for both high braking energy and constant braking cycles. A third application for this module is the control cabinet designs that are made for low operating costs.
If your drive group has a high number of drive modules for your system and it goes beyond the electronic power supply that the infeed module can accept, you will need a monitoring module.
What does an infeed module do within your system? You use the infeed module to connect the drive group to the supply line. The 6SN1145-1AA01-0AA1 is an unregulated infeed module. It works with the infeed/regenerative feedback module, or IR, and the monitoring module to provide the power to the electronics power supply for the connected modules.
Is there overload protection with the unregulated infeed module? The Siemens 6SN1145-1AA01-0AA1 unregulated infeed module does not have any comprehensive overload protection. To achieve comprehensive overload protection, the current value in the control board must be configured with the correct setting.
When the motor brakes, heat develops from the drive energy going into the DC link. This heat happens in the braking resistors. It then goes out into the environment. The second thing to think about is the power needed to charge the DC link capacitors. You will need to know the maximum permissible power.
