The I Pendant module A05B-2518-C202#ESW is manufactured by Fanuc. It is a handheld control terminal responsible for moving the robot and teach locations. It also runs robot programs. With the teach pendant you can control the robot locally so you are not bound to the computer terminal. It is used to teach the locations for the applications once the applications are set up. These products are manufactured in Japan and are designed for Commodity production, advanced machining, and CNC milling usage. They come with a 2-year warranty from MRO Electric. We also carry Teach Pendants from other manufacturers such as Siemens and Control Techniques.

Features

The teach pendant has an LCD that features four lines and 20 characters. The keypad has 45 keys and it features a live-man switch as well as an E-stop button.

There are pendant keys with multi-purpose use. It has function keys that are assigned a corresponding function found at the bottom line of each screen. The pendant has axis keys that are used to move the robot. The manual menu screen is where you will find the axis key's specific functions. The robot motion settings will inform the response to the axis keys. Next are the motion keys which include grip, home, ready, limp all/no limp all, move and speed up/down. The array keys allow you to select elements in variable arrays. Finally are data entry keys.

Located on the right side of the Fanuc A05B-2518-C202#ESW module chassis are three-position live man switch. In order to initiate robot motion, the pendant must be in Motion Enabled mode. Motion-enabled mode is achieved by gently depressing the live man switch. To avoid moving into one of the two Motion Disabled modes, do release or press too firmly.

The pendant features an E-stop button. It is the large red knob located at the top right front side of the pendant. The E-stop button is a safety feature. What happens when the E-stop feature is used? The E-stop button immediately stops the robot by disabling the arm power, just like the E-stop button on the control panel. Arm power can be restored by resetting the e-stop button and then turning it on at the control pane. To reset the E-stop button, turn the knob right until the knob clicks and pops up. The teach pendant does not need to be active to use the e-stop button. It works even if the pendant is not the point of control.

How to use an A05B-2518-C202#ESW

The four function keys are F1, F2, F3, and F4. All functions for the teach pendant are found using the function keys. The keys also help you access various screens needed for title, message, and menu items.

The teach pendant's small speaker on board is capable of producing simple sounds to help identify events such as when a valid or invalid pendant key is pressed or when a user initiates an action; it initiates a sound for confirmation. It also sounds with the detection of an error.
