The A57L–0001–0037 is a detector for a spindle module. Where is the magnetic sensor mounted? The Fanuc A57L–0001–0037 magnetic sensor is mounted on the rotation body of the spindle module. Centrifugal force can dislodge a magnet. Check to ensure this has not occurred. The Fanuc A57L–0001–0037 should be mounted as close to the amplifier as possible. The magnetic sensor should not come in contact with magnetic substances. Contact with magnetic substances could alter the stop position. Iron chips or powder can easily attach to a magnet, so care should be taken to ensure it is free of both.
Special care should be taken if the spindle contains a magnetic clutch for high/low switching such as a circuit that forms a magnetic loop. If this is the case, one should mount a magnet on a non-magnet. A non-magnet source like an aluminum plate is best. Because the magnetic loop of the magnetic clutch has an influence, a magnetic flux is always applied when the magnetic clutch is on. The magnet has a magnetic flux, at a stop position, of zero.
The cable side of the magnetic sensor head, the magnetic sensor amp, and connection cables should be free from lubricant and coolant. Exposure to these can cause damage.
Mounting of the Fanuc magnetic sensor for orientation module A57L–0001–0037 is directly on the spindle. Repeatability degrades when a magnet is mounted with the use of a gear connection or a spline connection. This is informed by the amount of backlash between the spindle and the magnet.
