Schneider Electric HMIGTO6310

The Schneider Electric HMIGTO6310 is an operator terminal designed for use in machines or system automation. These products are manufactured in France and are designed for Material handling, packaging, and textile machines usage. They come with a 2-year warranty from MRO Electric. LED

The LED status indicator displays the following sequence after power is turned on: first, a red light illuminates, followed by a flashing orange light, and finally, a green light. This sequence indicates the normal status of the device.

Cable

It is important to note that the Modbus RJ-45 communication cable should not be connected to the Ethernet interface.

Installation

This product is designed to be installed on flat surfaces with an IP65, Type 1, Type 4X (Indoor Use Only), or Type 13 Enclosure. When building the product into an end-use product, it is important to keep in mind that the rear face of the product is not approved as an enclosure. A separate enclosure that meets standards should be used as the end-use product's overall enclosure. It is important to install this product in an enclosure with mechanical rigidity and to note that the product is not designed for outdoor use. The UL certification obtained is only for indoor use. The product should be installed and operated with its front panel facing outward.

Wiring

When wiring this product, it is important to keep in mind the following guidelines:

• The SG (signal ground) and FG (functional ground) terminals are already connected internally within the product.
• The ground wire should be either the same gauge or heavier than the power wires.
• Aluminum wires should not be used in the power supply power cord.
• To avoid the possibility of a terminal short, a pin terminal with an insulating sleeve should be used.
• Proper twisting of the individual wire ends is crucial to prevent short circuits.
• The conductor type can be either solid or stranded wire.
• Copper wire rated for a temperature of 75°C (167°F) or higher should be used.
• A Class 2 power supply should be used for DC input.

USE

When using this product, it is important to take the following precautions:

• After thoroughly examining the wiring route, ensure that the FG is connected to the ground.
• The functional grounding should have a grounding resistance of 100 Ω or less and a wire of 2 mm2 (AWG 14) or thicker, or the applicable standard for your country. This applies to both the FG and SG terminals.

To replace the installation gasket, follow these steps:

• The gasket is located on the rear of the product.
• Replace it when necessary and make sure to use the replacement gasket specifically designed for this product.
• Ensure the gasket is inserted properly into the groove for moisture resistance.
• Position the gasket in the installation groove with the gasket seam at the bottom of the product.

Replace the battery to ensure data backup of memory and the internal clock. Use only the HMIZGBAT as a replacement. Note: the HMIGTO1300/1310 and HMIGTO2300 do not have a battery, and a message will appear one month prior to the battery being fully depleted as a signal to replace it.

DATA LOSS PREVENTION: 

• Replace the battery immediately once the message appears, within a month. 

• Replace the battery every five years after purchasing the product. 

• Change the battery within ten minutes of turning off the power to the product. 

• Only allow authorized personnel to perform battery replacement. 

• Failure to comply with these instructions could result in equipment damage.
