The Yaskawa SGD-15DE is an AC drive designed to operate with a 3-phase AC input at a rated voltage of 380-480V and a frequency range of 50-60Hz. This highly efficient unit features an input current rating of 4.8A and an output current of 5.4A. The AC output of this drive is also 3-phase, with a voltage range of 0-480V and a frequency range of 0-300Hz. The ambient temperature range for this AC drive is 0-55°C, which makes it suitable for use in a wide range of industrial applications. Its compact size and high performance make it an ideal choice for applications where space is limited, and reliability is a must. Overall, the Yaskawa SGD-15DE AC drive is a reliable, efficient, high-performance device that can help improve productivity and reduce downtime in industrial applications.
Mount the SGDH SERVOPACK on a base. When storing the servomotor, keep it within a temperature range of -20 to +85°C. These products are manufactured in Japan and are designed for Advanced manufacturing, milling, and factory automation usage. They come with a 2-year warranty from MRO Electric. We also carry AC Drives from other manufacturers such as Schneider Electric and KUKA.
To properly install the SERVOPACK, it should be mounted perpendicular to the wall with its front panel facing outward. Adequate space should be provided around each SERVOPACK to allow for cooling via cooling fans or natural convection. When installing SERVOPACKs side by side, at least 10mm (0.39 in) between, and at least 50mm (1.97 in) of space should be left above and below each SERVOPACK. Cooling fans should be installed above the SERVOPACKs to prevent excessive temperature rise and maintain an even temperature within the control panel. The environmental conditions in the control panel should be maintained within certain limits, including an ambient temperature of 0 to 55°C, humidity of 90% RH or less, and vibration of 4.9 m/s2. There should be no condensation or freezing, and the maximum ambient temperature for long-term reliability is 45°C.
To create a servo system, it is necessary to design an automatic control system that uses feedback control. The servo system itself is also an automatic control system that detects the position of a machine's output data, feeds that data back to the input side, compares it to the specified position (input data), and moves the machine based on the difference between the compared data. Essentially, the servo system is designed to control the output data to match the specified input data. If the specified position changes, the servo system will adjust accordingly. Position, speed, force (torque), and electric current are typical values controlled by a servo system.
There are two types of servomotors available: AC and DC servomotors. A detector, such as an encoder mounted on a motor, is used to monitor the controlled system's position or speed. The servo amplifier is another component that processes an error signal to correct any difference between a reference signal and feedback data and operates the servomotor accordingly. It consists of a comparator that processes the error signal and a power amplifier that drives the servomotor. Lastly, a host controller is a device that controls the servo amplifier by specifying a position or speed as a set point.
AC servomotors can be either synchronous or induction types. The synchronous type is more commonly used and is controlled by altering the frequency of the alternating current to adjust the motor speed. Synchronous servomotors provide strong holding torque when stopped, making them ideal for precise positioning applications, such as servo mechanisms for position control.
