Schneider Electric offers the MAGELiS operator terminal, with the part number XBTF011110. This HMI device is designed for use with PLCs and has a rated voltage of 24 VDC and a rated input of 35 watts. It features a 9-PIN FEMALE side connection and an RS232C connector. These products are manufactured in France and are designed for Material handling, packaging, and textile machines usage. They come with a 2-year warranty from MRO Electric. We also carry HMIs from other manufacturers such as Modicon and ABB.
The MAGELiS operator terminal is available in two sizes (5- or 10-inch) and comes with either an alphanumeric LCD or a fluorescent display. The device also includes a graphical matrix display with a monochrome or color screen and touch-sensitive options. The configuration software for the MAGELiS operator terminal is based on the Windows programming environment, which makes it easy to use.
The device comes with two display options: a back-lit monochrome LCD with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels or a touch-sensitive color LCD STN with the same resolution. Data entry is facilitated by a keypad with 42 keys that include 10 static function keys, 8 dynamic function keys, 12 service keys, and 12 alphanumeric keys. The device has a memory capacity of either 8 MB or 16 MB for applications. It can store up to 512 alarms and a maximum of 125 records with 5000 values for recipes. Each page can hold up to 64 variables, represented as alphanumeric characters, bitmaps, bar graphs, gauges, potentiometers, or selectors. The device can store 16 curves and log alarms. It also has an alarm relay and an asynchronous serial port with RS 232 C / RS 485 / RS 422 compatibility. The device supports downloadable protocols such as UNI-TELWAY, MODBUS, AEG, and PLCs from Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, Omron, and Siemens brands. The device supports buses and networks such as MODBUS Plus and FIPIO®/FIPWAY® with an optional Type III PCMCIA card. For printing, the device supports a RS 232 C asynchronous serial link (dependent on the model). It uses XBTL1003/L1004 development software and runs on the MAGELiS operating system.
The user interface of all MAGELiS graphic screen terminals is uniform and includes static and dynamic function keys, service keys, and alphanumeric keys.
The configuration of MAGELiS graphic screen terminals can be done using the XBTL100• software, which runs on a Windows environment. The software provides a library of animated graphic objects, including bar graphs, volume indicator meters, selectors, potentiometers, and trending curves. The variable used for animating an object can be selected from a list of symbols provided by the PL7 or CONCEPTTM software. The application program for the graphic terminals is stored on a PCMCIA memory card.
XBTF graphic screen terminals establish communication with PLCs through an integrated point-to-point or multidrop serial link. Alternatively, they can communicate through a field bus using a PCMCIA Type III card. The communication protocols supported by the terminals include those used by Schneider Electric PLCs as well as those used by other major market suppliers.
