When mounted in this fashion, the max internal temperature within the enclosure can reach a higher temperature (60 °) without having to derate the drive current. To use this type of mounting, drill and cut out the back of the enclosure. The ATV61HD11N4 uses the mounting and fixing accessory kit VW3A9504 made specifically for flush-mounting in a dusty and or damp environment.
Another optional kit for the Altivar ATV61HD11N4 is the UL Type 1 conformity kit which allows for mounting the ATV61HD11N4 outside the enclosure. Kit VW3A9204 helps to maintain safety conforming with UL Type 1 when connecting cables with a tube. The connection is shielded inside the kit. For IP 21 or IP 31 conformity, kit VW3A9104 can be used. Optional braking resistors can also be used on the Altivar 61 line of drives. The braking resistor for the ATV61HD11N4 is VW3A7703.
