The functions you will find on this module are monitoring and maintenance. It is also designed with built-in diagnostic capabilities. Communication can easily be maintained for monitoring and diagnostics as a result of the option of powering the control part separately. This can be done when there is no power supply to the part. You can run drive test functions with a diagnostic screen on the graphic display terminal. You can map I/O and use communication maps for the various ports. The drive module has an oscilloscope function. This function can be used with the SoMove setup software. Microprocessors with flash memory help manage the drive.
After receiving and inspecting the drive controller, the line voltage must be checked for compatibility with the voltage range of the drive. The ATV61 should be mounted vertically to ± 10°. It should not be mounted close to any heating element. Another mounting consideration is ventilation. The drive unit should have space for the circulation of air from the bottom to the top of the variable speed drive. The ventilation space in the front of the ATV 61 should be a minimum of 39 inches. The top protective cover may be removed if the IP20 protection on the unit is adequate. After mounting, any external or internal options may be installed. Wiring the drive is the next step. The motor is connected making sure it corresponds to the voltage. Make sure the power is off and then connect the line supply. The final two connections are the control and speed reference.
