The Modicon 140CRP93200 is the redundant RIO drop adaptor solution. Imagine the extra protection this module can afford you when there is an unexpected break in your system. These sensitive processes need the kind of protection the Modicon 140CRP93200 can bring you. It hands you the assurance that your network stays at optimal operation when and if a break occurs without missing a beat. These products are manufactured in France and are designed for Material handling, packaging, and textile machines usage. They come with a 2-year warranty from MRO Electric. RIO topology with redundant cable: A MA0185100 T- connector is necessary when you have each I/O drop on the system. The reason is that you must electrically isolate the drop from the trunk cable. That way your system gains protection a possible mismatch of impedance and also from cable disconnections. You have to keep a minimum signal strength of 14 decibels between each I/O drop and the trunk cable. There is a signal loss of 1 decibel on the trunk cable when it crosses through the T-connector. There is a total of 35 decibels you can have available from the head part of the RIO CPU. The entirety of the cable architecture is not allowed to reach past that limit.
Optical fiber repeaters used as standalone devices: The optical fiber repeaters module format is Quantum so it can be used as a standalone device with a single power supply in a rack with three slots. An example of this is when you are replacing repeaters that they are fully compatible with. You can incorporate them directly into the Quantum rack. That will give you more compact configuration for the redundant power supplies.
Hot Standby system with Unity Pro software: There are some systems that have even more demanding than typical applications. In these situations, there is even less room for error and no interruption of the process is able to be tolerated. What does this system look like? It will have two PLC racks, one primary and one standby; both will have the same identical hardware configurations. The primary one will implement the application program and controls the I/O and the second one, the standby, remains in the background anticipating any fault that may occur. If a fault does occur on the primary, the secondary Standby system will automatically switch on and complete the application program and control the I/O. It is a transparent process as the changeover happens without a hitch in the outputs. This increases your productivity because it minimizes your process downtime.
Hot Standby system based on remote I/O (RIO) architecture: For sensitive processes, there is the Hot Standby system which is based on the remote I/O architecture. It requires an I/O control takeover time that happens in the same time as the PLC scan time so that when the RIO drops are synced up with the PLC’s CPU scan time. That way the CPU changeover can happen smoothly and without interruption of the outputs.
