The ATV71HD75N4 module is a variable speed drive for synchronous and asynchronous motors is manufactured by Schneider Electric as a part of their Altivar 71 line of drives. The ATV 71 is manufactured for heavy-duty applications. The motor power for the high-performing ATV 71 three-phase module (supply voltage: 380…480 V 50/60 Hz). The max line supply input for the Schneider Electric ATV71HD75N4 is 167 A at 380 V and 137 A at 480 V. Twenty-two kA is the max. prospective line Isc. The apparent power for this unit is 110 kVA with a maximum inrush current of 200 A. The maximum available nominal current In is 160 A and the maximum transient current is 240 A/60s and 264 A/2s. These products are manufactured in France and are designed for Material handling, packaging, and textile machines usage. They come with a 2-year warranty from MRO Electric. We also carry AC Drives from other manufacturers such as Modicon and ABB.
Made for three-phase motors, the ATV71HD75N4 variable speed drive is in the complex machine category of ATV drives and is a 500 V three-phase, 90 kW/125 HP to 500 kW/700 HP. It has an IP protection rating of IP 23 or IP 54.
Which cooling method does the Schneider Electric ATV71HD75N4 use? The ATV71HD75N4 module uses an integrated heat sink for colling or base plate or a water-cooled system.
What are the communication modalities for the variable speed drive module ATV71HD75N4? There are two communication modes integrated on the ATV71HD75N4. The first is Modbus and the second is CANopen.
Are there optional communication modes available for the ATV71HD75N4? Yes, the ATV71HD75N4 can utilize several communication networks. These communication networks are Modbus TCP Daisy Chain, Modbus/Uni-Telway, EtherNet/IP (RSTP), DeviceNet, PROFIBUS DP V0 and V1, Interbus, CC-Link, Profinet, EtherCAT, and POWERLINK. Optional cards used with this module are Interface cards for incremental, resolver, SinCos, SinCos Hiperface®, EnDat® or SSI encoders, I/O extension cards, and the Controller Inside the programmable card.
The Altivar 71 has several built-in functions to assist with maintenance, monitoring, and diagnostics. Some of these functions include the Modbus port, I/O maps, a message of up to 5 lines of 24 characters that can be stored in the drive, and remote use of these functions by connecting the drive to a modem via. The ATV 71 utilizes error logs with a display of the value of up to 16 variables on the occurrence of a fault. It has built-in drive test functions with a diagnostic screen on the remote graphic display terminal as well as communication maps for the different ports. It enjoys an oscilloscope function that can be viewed using the SoMove setup software and identification of the drive's component parts as well as the software versions. It can manage the drive installed base via microprocessors with flash memory. It also has display terminal languages loaded in the flash memory.
Once you receive the Schneider Electric ATV71HD75N4 the drive should be inspected for damage. Next, the line voltage should be checked for compatibility with the drive’s voltage range. After these two tasks are performed this drive module may be vertically mounted at ± 10° away from heating elements. Space for air circulation from top to bottom is necessary as well as front space. Any option modules may then be installed on the drive module. The next step is to wire the drive connecting the motor making sure the connections correspond to the voltage. When the power is off, connect the line supply the control and the speed reference.
