Signaling

The module offers a fast and efficient read cycle time of 70 milliseconds per channel, ensuring real-time monitoring of analog signals. It provides reliable and accurate measurements, with low measurement errors for each thermocouple type at 25°C and 0-60°C temperature ranges. For example, the measurement error for thermocouple E at 25°C is 0.8°C, while for thermocouple K at 0-60°C, it is 1.6°C.

Safety and Protections

The Modicon TSXAEY1614 Premium ensures reliable signal isolation between channels and the bus, providing a high level of safety and protection. It features 1000 Vrms isolation between channels and the bus, as well as 1000 Vrms isolation between channels and ground. The module also offers common mode isolation of 250 V AC or 280 V AC between channels and 250 V DC common mode isolation between channels.

To protect against input overvoltage, the module provides overvoltage protection of -15 to 15 V at state 0 and -30 to 30 V at state 1, with a 250 Ohm impedance. It also features overcurrent protection of -30 to 30 mA at state 1, with a 250 kOhm impedance. These protection mechanisms safeguard the module and connected devices from potential damage caused by voltage spikes or current fluctuations.
